The 16th Street Fair is an annual celebration of fine art, handcrafted goods, and the 16th Street Mall in Downtown Denver. Take a stroll along the 16th Street Mall to enjoy a showcase of emerging artists and designers, producing original and unique handmade goods, in a wide array of media. This is Downtown Denver’s premier art and craft festival located in the city center along the busiest pedestrian street in the State.

Details:

The 13th annual 16th Street Fair is a premier art and craft festival. The 16th Street Fair is an extremely popular event held twice a year in the heart of Downtown Denver! The Fair will take place on Saturdays & Sundays on July 31 & August 1 and also on October 23 & 24. The Fair will run through the center of Downtown Denver spread over approximately 4 Blocks in one of the busiest sections of the vibrant 16th Street Mall. The 16th Street Fair is the only art and craft fair of the year that happens on the 16th Street Mall. The 16th Street Fair has been ranked as one of the “Top Craft Shows in Denver” by CBS News.

Venue:

The 16th Street Fair is located along the median of the Historic 16th Street Mall. The event will span several blocks of the 16th Street Mall from California to Tremont, which is near or in front of the Denver Pavilions. Exhibitor spaces are outdoors. This highly visible location will put you in front of several 1000s of visitors. Over 45,000 pedestrians a day cruise this tree-lined pedestrian promenade that spans the center of Downtown Denver. The 16th Street Mall is currently rated as the Number 1 Attraction in the Entire Denver Metro Area, and is the place to be for locals and tourists! The Fairs will take place during the height of the busy summer tourist season.

How to be an Exhibitor:

You are cordially invited to submit your application for this premier art and craft show. Artists may submit an application for original items and work that is handmade. Categories of exhibitors include Art Glass, Fine Art, Folk Art, Furniture, Gift Baskets, Gourmet prepackaged specialty foods, Handmade Clothing, Handmade Toys, Jewelry, Metal Work, Upcycle, Photography, Pottery, Sculpture, Textiles/Fiber, Wood Products, and Much More!

All items & work displayed at this juried show must be handmade art or craft!

Prepacked craft food items are acceptable, but there will be no food or drink vendors permitted at this event. All vendors are required to either use table cloths or skirting around their display tables.

The Application Process:

This is an Art and Craft Festival so all work sold must be of original design and all items must be handmade. In order to participate, you will need to fill out an application. There are 2 ways to apply:

1. Apply Online – This is the most popular way to apply and is what you should choose if you prefer to pay by credit card, debit card, or PayPal. The online application found at the top menu of the website www.coloradoevents.net or www.16thstfair.com. All online applications will be juried about 2 to 3 times a month on an ongoing basis. You should know the outcome of your application within 2 weeks of applying if not sooner. Online Applicants will be notified of their acceptance into the show via email. Upon acceptance, you will also receive an invoice to pay the exhibitor fee with Paypal or any credit card of your choice.

2. Apply Through the Mail – Choose this option if you prefer to pay by check. The paper application is attached to this document. Please return the paper application to us via mail. Please also include 2 checks made payable to Colorado Events and be send them to: Colorado Events 2525 Arapahoe Ave, Suite E4-720, Boulder, CO 80302

If you choose to sign up with a paper application you have the option to mail us photos of your work. All paper applications should include two checks: a $20 (Single Event) or $25 (Multiple Event) non-refundable application fee and a separate check for the appropriate vendor fee. All paper applications will be juried twice a month and email notification of acceptance will be given out shortly thereafter. If you want to speed up the jurying process, you should apply online. We will notify all applicants of their acceptance decision via email.

If you are accepted into the show then we will email you and also cash your 2nd check for the vendor fee. If you are not accepted we will shred the 2nd check. You can optionally include a postage-paid, pre-addressed envelope if you prefer to have the 2nd check returned to you or if you want us to return the jury photos that you sent us.
